KREATIZE: Startup Autobahn is open to listen to our ideas and to work together on pilots

In chapter 3 of the interview series with our startups we askedClifford Ondara(Head of Business Intelligence at KREATIZE) to give us a sneak peek into KREATIZE’s activities at Startup Autobahn.

On March 13th we started ourAcceleration Program #2at Startup Autobahn. 300 startups applied for the program andthe best 28 startups were acceptedto shape the future of mobility with Daimler, HPE, Porsche, BASF, ZF and Murata.

KREATIZE – one of our startups selected for Startup Autobahn Program #2 – is a software solutions provider for manufacturing companies that enables seamless collaboration between suppliers and their customers. The company is the first player to integrate all fields of manufacturing, from CAD design, supplier sourcing, matching, quoting, ordering and 3rd party integrations.

Why did you join Startup Autobahn (SA) and what are your expectations from the program?

KREATIZE joined Startup Autobahn to get access to the network of large German corporates and for the mentorship and coaching opportunities offered in the program. Our main product offer – Digital Request and Intelligent Offer apps for suppliers – is targeted at Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). However, we find significant synergies with large corporates with some of our products – for example fingerprint extraction for CAD files in our Intelligent Offer app that allows secure transfer of design data – which is valuable for both large corporates and SMEs. Partnering with large corporates allows us to test these elements creating additional value for them, while validating our software.

What do you like the most about the SA program?

There is a clear willingness of the corporate partners to collaborate, which is impressive given that within the SA program we are mostly very young companies that are yet to prove themselves in the market. This openness to listen to our ideas and vision and to work together on pilot projects, is very encouraging. Additionally, having the opportunity to regularly interact with other startups in the cohort (through the meetups) is great way to exchange ideas and talk through the challenges we face in our day-to-day work.

In your opinion what makes Startup Autobahn different from other accelerator programs?

Most important for us is the proximity to, and the large number of, partner companies. We find this untypical even for corporate accelerators. In the recent meetup, more companies outside the partner network were also invited which increases the diversity and value within these interactions.

What are you planning to showcase on the EXPO Day?

We are planning to showcase fingerprinting technology for design information contained in 3D CAD files. This technology is co-developed with DXC Technology (formerly HP Enterprise Services), Porsche, BASF and kloeckner.i and allows the extraction of anonymous attributes from a CAD file for matching to manufacturing machines and pricing of the production, without the possibility to reverse engineer the design. This ensures that data can be sent to the cloud for matching and pricing without compromising the IP of the design data.
